Scanners
FS670 works by deflecting the beam between a pair of electrostatic plates.
When this scanner is running, the beam downstream will either jump around or be
lost completely. This scanner suffers from interference at it's most sensitive
scales, though this may be reduced to some degree by reducing the sample frequency.
At WG210 the beam may be so narrow as to fit between the wires, leading to some
bizare wiregrid images. Use SC260.
Note the asymmetrical beam shape distortion, clearly visible in SC482 and
FS670. This is normal, when the pole-face windings are not used.
